APOLLO, the feature film by Wander Theunis and Aaron Rookus has been granted a €550.000 production grant by the Netherlands Film Fund.
APOLLO tells the story of Paul, a celebrated ‘playlist curator’ at the popular music streaming company Apollo. When confronted with the peak of his succes, Paul spends a summer’s day on a musical odyssey through Amsterdam that slowly but surely forces him to choose between his life’s ambitions and the things he is expected to sacrifice to make his dreams come true.
The film, which is written by Wander Theunis and which will be directed by Aaron Rookus, is expected to be shot spring 2021.
APOLLO is a production by Topkapi Films in co-production with broadcaster BNNVARA. Gusto Entertainment will distribute the film in The Netherlands.
