We are delighted to announce that two of our productions, MOUSTACHE, written and directed by Idriss Nabil, and TRAUMA PORN CLUB, directed by Michael Middelkoop and written by Bodil Mattheeuwsen, are both selected as Best Short Film for the 2024 Golden Calf Competition (Dutch Academy Awards) at the Netherlands Film Festival.
Both films have also received a chance to compete for other prizes at the festival. MOUSTACHE will take part in the Debut Competition for first time filmmakers. MOUSTACHE will have its premiere at the festival as well.
TRAUMA PORN CLUB will be competing for the 10th anniversary of the Forum of Directors prize, an auteurcompetition to highlight uniqueness in Dutch film.
The results of the debut competition and forum of directors will be revealed September 23rd.
The Golden Calves will be awarded on September 27th during the EY Golden Calf Gala.
