Rembrandt Award for Rutger Hauer and Carice van Houten

Rutger Hauer and Carice van Houten received a Rembrandt Award during its 15th award ceremony on 12 March 2012.

Carice van Houten was rewarded for her role as South African Poet Ingrid Jonker in Black Butterflies. Best actor Rutger Hauer received the award for playing Alfred Heineken in The Heineken Kidnapping.

The annual Rembrandt Awards are the national public film awards of The Netherlands, first given out in 1993. The nominations are selected by members of the Film Committee and Jury of the Rembrandt Awards Foundation.

The winners are selected by the Dutch public through online voting.
