The widely beloved and respected producer/distributor Karl Baumgartner, ‘Baumi’ for friends, has died at the age of 65 in his home town Frankfurt.
For many film professionals around the world, this king of art house cinema was a great example. The numerous films he and his co-workers at Pandora Film have made possible, are an eternal reminder of him and his love for film.
With Baumi’s death we lose an ardent supporter of independent cinema, and a loyal friend. He will be dearly missed.
