ETTY, the new series by Hagai Levi, has been selected for the Séries Mania Festival! It will be screened in its entirety in Lille, then released in cinemas, before being broadcast in May on ARTE.
Based on the diaries of Etty Hillesum, written at the age of 27 in Amsterdam during the occupation, ETTY recounts the intellectual and spiritual journey of this young woman, a quest for meaning that continues to resonate and raises a timeless question: how can we find hope in a hopeless world?
The series has been created as a co-production between Films du Poisson (France), Komplizen Film (Germany), Topkapi Films (Netherlands), Arte France, and Quiddity Films (UK). In partnership with Sipur, SWR, NTR, Medienboard, and MEDIA Creative Europe, with International Sales by Studio TF1.
