A Noble Intention – the film which brings to life Amsterdam in 1888 – is one of the most complex VFX films ever produced in The Netherlands. Planet X FX from the Netherlands, in cooperation with the Hungarian VFX studio Digital Apes, has created close to five hundred VFX shots for the feature film.
Many different techniques were used to create a vast and detailed 3D model of Amsterdam, complete with fancily dressed inhabitants and other countless assets needed to create a believable cityscape. InPlanet X FX presents a breakdown of the visual effects.
