Trailer for Vinterberg’s The Commune

TrustNordisk presented the trailer (please click here) for Vinterberg’s upcoming drama The Commune. The Commune (OT: Kollektivet) will be released January 2016.

Written by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm who also wrote Vinterberg’s previous films Submarino (2010) and The Hunt (Jagten, 2012) together,  The Commune tells a story about the clash between personal desires vs. solidarity and tolerance in a commune in the 70’s.

The Commune stars a sizable stellar ensemble cast lead by Ulrich Thomsen (In a better world, 2010; Mortdecai, 2015), Trine Dyrholm (In a better world; 2010; A royal affair, 2012), Fares Fares (Zero Dark Thirty, 2012) and Lars Ranthe (The Hunt, 2012) among others.

The Commune is produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Morten Kaufmann for Zentropa Entertainments19 in co-operation with Toolbox Film, co-produced by Film I Väst, Zentropa International Sweden, Topkapi Films and Zentropa International Netherlands with support from Danish Film Institute, DR, Eurimages, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, The Netherlands Film Fund, Swedish Film Institute and the MEDIA programme of the European Union.

TrustNordisk handles international sales and has sold the film to a.o. France, UK, Germany, Austria, Greece, Poland, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland, Korea, Russia, Estonia, Romania and Hungary.
