Topkapi is excited to welcome Sabine Smits as our new Head of Productions.
After starting out in drama production in 2010, Sabine accumulated a broad spectrum of experience as a production manager, line producer, head of productions, and most recently as the Head of Subsidy Processes for the Netherlands Film Fund. With a background in arthouse as well as commercial films, her path waved through acclaimed projects such as Nieuwe Buren (2014), Geen Koningen in ons Bloed (2015), De Joodse Raad (2022), and Topkapi’s Elixir in 2023.
Thanks to her broad experience and network in the field, Sabine has a great understanding of how to transform a script or plan into a production in close collaboration with the creative teams. With her energetic and warm approach, she will be involved in the developmental process, and will make sure to bring out the best possible production value in line with the available budget.
Sabine will act as bridge between the teams of our producers and executive producers of upcoming projects.
