Recently, Eva Crutzen’s comedy-drama series MESSED UP was honored with two major Dutch creative awards within the span of one week.
On Saturday, September 27th, the first season of MESSED UP received the Zilveren Krulstaart (‘Silver Curly Tail’). The Zilveren Krulstaart is a professional screenwriting award, with winners chosen by fellow screenwriters. The award is an initiative of the Dutch Screenwriters Network. The first season of MESSED UP won the prize for Best Television Show Screenplay.
Less than a week later, on Friday, October 3rd, MESSED UP received another major honor. During the Golden Calves Gala — the main award ceremony of the Netherlands Film Festival — Eva Crutzen won the award for Best Direction of a Drama Series for the second season of MESSED UP. This marks the second Golden Calf Award Eva has won for MESSED UP, as she previously received the award for Best Leading Actor in a Drama Series for the first season.
The second season of MESSED UP will premiere on November 3rd on Dutch television network NPO3 and its streaming platform NPO Start.
