Frans Bastiaens, Councillor of Culture for the Maastricht Municipality, presented the award on Friday at the Maastricht City Hall.
Eva Crutzen was delighted: “To fall back on cliché: what an honour. Truly ecstatic about this. And such a celebration as well, in my home town of Mestreech. ‘This’ isn’t what you do it for, but it is an exceptionally lovely and welcome extra. Many thanks to my script-coach Martijn Hillenius, and my love, Joseff Iping, who also tirelessly worked on these scripts.”
Eva Crutzen won the award for her comedic drama series MESSED UP, which the jury described as “an ode to freedom for the creative mind”.
