Three years after The Broken Circle Breakdown, Felix Van Groeningen is back with Belgica. Menuet just presented the trailer (please click here) for Felix’ upcoming fifth feature film.
Two brothers run café Belgica together . The better their business goes, the more they lose each other.
Belgica stars Stef Aerts (Adem) and Tom Vermeir in the leading parts. The screenplay is written by Felix Van Groeningen and Arne Sierens who also wrote one of Van Groeningen’s previous films With Friends Like These (OT: Dagen zonder lief) together.
The film is produced by Menuet in coproduction with Topkapi Films and the French Pyramide Productions.
Belgica is supported by amongst others the Flanders Audiovisual Fund, Screen Flanders, the Belgian Tax Shelter, Medialaan, Kinepolis Film Distribution, Belgacom, Pyramide Productions and The Netherlands Film Fund.
Belgica will be released March 2016.
