Layla M. globally available on Netflix

The award-winning movie “Layla M.” is now available on Netflix worldwide*.

Layla M. generated full cinemas in the Netherlands, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and has won praise at various international film festivals ever since. Its star Nora el Koussour, who won in 2017 the Golden Calf for her performance as Layla while Mohammed Azaay won best male actor in a supporting role. The film follows 18-year-old Layla, a Dutch girl with Moroccan roots, who joins a group of radical Muslims. She encounters a world that nurtures her ideas initally, but finally confronts her with an impossible choice.

The film is produced by Topkapi Films, in co-production with Menuet (Belgium), Chromosom (Germany), Schiwago Film (Germany) and NTR.
